September 11, 2026: Hermes Agent v0.21.2: the state.db reliability campaign

Six PRs and 44 closed issues fixing root causes of state.db corruption: hosted rooms moved to shared-state.db, the dashboard opens read-only first, cron’s lifecycle guard uses the tracked connection registry.

What this means for your agents: If your agents run on cron all week, this is the release that stops the database from corrupting mid-run.

August 31, 2026: Hermes Agent v0.21.0 “Pantheon”

Bot Mode ships default-on in the desktop app: named agents with faces in a shared roster, Discord-style group chats where bots and you talk in one room, hermes peer for bot-to-bot DMs, cron jobs with memory and continuity between runs, live mid-flight subagent steering, an MCP command center, and the agent can drive the desktop’s own browser.

What this means for your agents: This is the multi-agent release: your sourcing bot can hand findings to your outreach bot, and scheduled agents actually remember last week.
